Fiber cut on link between Betembourg and Frankfurt Saturday 18th May 2024 19:58:40

The link we're using to connect our datacenter in Frankfurt to our network in Luxemburg is currently interrupted due to water damage in the Saar region. Our network has re-routed traffic via a different path, making the impact minimal. But we are currently running via reduced redundancy for the parts of our network located in Belgium and Germany.

Our supplier informed us, that the damaged fiber cable is now repaired and fully functional again. Traffic is now being routed as usual and redundancy has been fully restored.

We've been in touch with our supplier, who themselves are in touch with their supplier, who has confirmed the damaged cable. Access to the cable in difficult due to the heavy damage in the area.

We will keep you updated as soon as we have further information
